Hello guys and welcome back for another round of movie reviews with Movie Nerd, a place where you can be nerdy about movies!

So, because of the worldwide pandemic of coronavirus a bunch of movies are being delayed or postponed and most of the TV shows are stopping their production until this medical crises is over. That is the reason why many movie theaters are closing and, because of that, I cannot do reviews for new movies but, in order to keep this website afloat and still bring you some content, I will review movies that I will see from the comfort and safety of my apartment.

So, without further ado, here is the review for a crazy ass movie called Guns Akimbo but, before I dive into this review, a bit of a synopsis for you guys: Miles’ (Daniel Radcliffe) nerdy existence as a video game developer takes a dramatic turn when he inadvertently gets caught up as the next contestant with SKIZM, an underground gang live-streaming real-life death matches. While Miles excels at running away from everything, that won’t help him outlast Nix (Samara Weaving), a killer at the top of her game.

First of all, I never imagined that I will see Daniel Radcliffe doing a role like this when you remember him, mostly, from the ever beloved and popular Harry Potter franchise but this proves that the guy has range and that is always a good thing because he is a blast to see in this movie and it's fun and interesting to watch how his character eventually grows and that is a good character development. Second of all, I enjoyed the movie, it's got flaws of course but, the video game style and the full on action scenes, all the shooting and all the violence and the movie is very violent and very graphic which may put out some viewers, make for a interesting viewing experience plus gamers will eat this movie up because it's right up their alley.

The movie is a crazy ride filled with humor, most of it being the kind of humor that is not appealing to everyone but it kinda works here because the movie is so lacking in imagination that you don't bother to notice the style of it's humor. It's so over the top but it has something that keeps your attention on the screen maybe being so over the top that is just hard to look away.

Overall, the movie is a blast to watch, it's not everyone but those who like the video game style will, without a doubt, enjoy this movie. I know I did. 6.5/10

OK guys, that was my review for this one. Next up, the one that nobody went to see even before the coronavirus pandemic, Cats :))))). Until then, take care, stay safe, stay clean, stay at home and don't panic. Also, stay movie nerdy and keep on reviewing! Catch you on the flipside.
