Hello guys and welcome back for another round of movie reviews, quarantine edition, with Movie Nerd, a place where you can be nerdy about movies, even in a pandemic:))) So, because we are forced to stay home because of this outbreak, this is day I don't really know anymore for me, because I kinda lost count and the movies are canceled and movie theaters are all closing, I will still provide content by watching movies at home and give you my take on them.

This one is a bit tricky because it's the kind of movie that I really like and enjoy, no matter how weird, complicated and inexplicable it is. Before I get into the review, a bit of a synopsis for you lot: The plot is centered on a couple who are looking to purchase their dream house, but soon find that they are unable to leave the house shown to them by a mysterious real estate agent.

If the plot seems a bit weird to you, I can promise you, the movie is way weirder and it dives into themes that come from real life, like often these type of movies will do and you will try to understand it all and that could be frustrating for some. Because of that, I can safely say that not everybody will like this movie because it's complicated, weird, in a sort of a meta way and will confuse you as well as it will intrigue you. It's up to you to choose what you will be, confused or intrigued? Mostly confused because the movie kinda is more confusing than intriguing, giving us questions with no answers, most of the time but it brings some cool, interesting and fresh ideas to the table, ideas that some of you will appreciate.

That is why I like these types of movies, weird and quirky like that, because they come with ideas and concepts that are new and interesting and presented to us with a great and stylish visuals. Movies like Under the Skin, The Lighthouse, The Witch, Mama!, the last one being overly complicated but still interesting.

Overall, it's a great blend between sci-fi and thriller, very well acted and very well crafted, weird, strange, suspenseful, with interesting ideas and concepts, a deeper meaning about humans and the desperation to find the very low budget but still quaint place to settle down, about death, life and, ultimately, raising a child and preparing him for the world, containing an interesting visual style. It's not for everyone, as often with these movies but it is worth a watch, mainly for the exploration of the concept that it delivers. Also, great set design! 7.5/10

OK guys, that is my review for this one. Next up, taking a bit of a break to promote these three reviews that I have already done but I will post a little article about the new release dates for Marvel movies, including Sony movies as well and Warner/DC movies. Until then, take care, stay safe, stay clean, stay movie nerdy and keep on reviewing!
