Hello guys and welcome back for another round of movie reviews with Movie Nerd, a place where you can be nerdy about movies!

Guys, tomorrow I am going to Bucharest to attend the East European Comic Con but, like I said, I will try to get out at least one more review before I leave and I managed to put together a little review for this movie, and yes it is another missed one, which is sort of like a reboot for the Saw franchise but it does have some connections with the other movies so it does have some sequel elements as well. Or, you can say that it's in the same universe or a soft reboot, whatever is your fancy :)).

Also, I started the day pretty hyped because we got the first trailer for Spider Man: No Way Home and I can only say that I am so looking forward to see this movie. Christmas cannot come any faster but enough about that and let us get into this review so I can finish packing my suitcase and backpack and I can go to sleep because early morning rise tomorrow :)). First, as you are used on this site, a little synopsis:

So, this movie came out in May of this year and I saw it, pun intended but did not manage to get a review going for it.

I am a huge fan of these movies, it's one of my guilty pleasures and when I heard that another one is coming out I was very excited. Question is, that excitement remained after I watched the movie? Actually it did, in some form of way.

What I liked about this movie was the change in direction, it felt like a Saw movie but mainly it felt like a police crime thriller with some elements from the franchise. It was not the torture porn that we were used to and I really appreciated that. It has plenty of gore though not as much as the other movies and it felt a bit less violent but only a bit.

The story was a bit predictable, with some stuff that felt not very original and they had that I have seen this before vibe making the ending far more disappointing because, for me and I'm sure for many of you, the ending and the twist was very predictable and you could have seen it coming from a mile away.

Overall, I was satisfied, mostly, with the end result, it definitely has all the good stuff that a fan of this franchise will enjoy and I like the new direction that this franchise is heading but I am not sure that this was enough for a revival. 6.5/10

OK guys, that was my review for this one. Like I said, the next following days I will be in Bucharest, attending Comic Con and I am not sure that I can post any reviews during that time but I will try and do my best to maybe crank one or two but are going to be missed ones, unfortunately. I will be back on Monday to hopefully have a review, next week, for the new Candyman and, of course, Shang Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings.

Until then, take care, stay movie nerdy and keep on reviewing!
