Hello again guys and welcome to another round of movie review with Movie Nerd, the place where you can be nerdy about movies and that's OK!

This time, it's not a bad and awful movie I am reviewing but completely the opposite. Granted, it's another movie with John C. Reilly but, despite the dreadful decision to play Watson in that horrible ''comedy'', this is a role that, I think, he was meant to play. And that goes for Steve Coogan as well, who play Stan Laurel impeccable. Both performance are ground breaking, amazing, emotional and incredible. The likeness is almost uncanny. The make-up and prosthetic department should be commended because they did one hell of a job!

A bit of a synopsis for ya: Laurel and Hardy -- the world's greatest comedy team -- face an uncertain future as their golden era of Hollywood films remain long behind them. Diminished by age, the duo set out to reconnect with their adoring fans by touring variety halls in Britain in 1953. The shows become an instant hit, but Stan and Ollie can't quite shake the past as long-buried tension and Hardy's failing health start to threaten their precious partnership.

First of all, I have always wanted to see a movie about this legendary comedic duo for a long time because I always enjoyed their movies and their comedic talent so this piece is like my soul movie, the movie for my heart. And, let tell you something, the movie packs an emotional punch, with the tension between Stan and Ollie plus Olliver's health condition slowly degrading. It was, for me, at least, gratifying to see a peak behind the curtains in the life of these two. Plus, seeing some bits and bobs from a few of their movies being very well adapted and very well interpreted by Coogan and Reilly was the icing on the cake.

Beside being emotional and a bit sad, the movie also offers some few humorous moments, not a lot but enough to remember why these two were some popular and appreciated. For those who never saw any of their movies, I can guarantee that, as a curiosity, at first will watch some of their work and then begin to appreciate what they did and watch some more.

Overall, I very much enjoyed this movie because I have a special place in my heart for these two legendary actors and, bassically it is a tribute, a moving and emotional one, for Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy. 8.5/10

OK guys, this was my review for this one. More reviews coming soon, including ones for Pet Sematary, Shazam!, The Curse of La Llorona, Hellboy and, of course, the one that everyone is waiting for, Avengers: Endgame. Until then, take care, stay movie nerdy and keep on reviewing!
