The Lego Movie: The Second Part (2019) Movie Review or Lego in Space

Hello again and welcome back to another round of movie reviews with Movie Nerd, a place where you can be nerdy about movies and that's OK!

So, now, we arrive at the end of the journey, I hope, with these characters. I said I hope because it's getting a bit tedious this series and it needs to stop before it falls down completely and crumbles.

Before I dive in, a little synopsis: The citizens of Bricksburg face a dangerous new threat when LEGO DUPLO invaders from outer space start to wreck everything in their path. The battle to defeat the enemy and restore harmony to the LEGO universe takes Emmet, Lucy, Batman and the rest of their friends to faraway, unexplored worlds that test their courage and creativity.

So, I liked the first one very much and this one is not as good as the first but it does disappoint either. It's funny but not as fun as the first one. It has the same meta humor as the first but at some times it overstayed it's welcome.

Although not as fun, it still has the heart and soul like the first one delivered. The story is still nice, concentrating on the sister this time, which creates a nice dynamic between the siblings.

The animation is still amazing, with little details that make your eyes pop with excitement. The adults will like it and the kids will be amazed of the characters, animation and the little action that it provided. Also, the voice is still amazing and Chris Pratt level's up with his voice as Rex and it kinda sounded like a impersonation of Kurt Russell and it kinda resembled Snake Pliskeen but with some Chris Pratt characters. Weird but it worked.

Overall, not as good as the first and, unfortunately, the franchise is getting a bit tired but they still pulled of a good sequel for all the ages to watch. 7.2/10
