Hell guys and welcome back to another round of movie reviews with Movie Nerd, the place where you can be nerdy about movies and that's OK!
So, continuing the special edition that I started yesterday, although International Children's Day is over, my reviews still need to be posted, uploaded, viewed so I can get paid. Kidding, it's not about the money, it's about the passion. But, also, the money :))
First, a little synopsis: The battle for NINJAGO City calls to action young Master Builder Lloyd, aka the Green Ninja, along with his friends, also secret ninja warriors. Led by Master Wu (Jackie Chan), as wise-cracking as he is wise, they must defeat the evil warlord Garmadon (Justin Theroux), who also happens to be Lloyd's dad. Pitting father against son, the epic showdown tests these fierce but undisciplined modern-day ninjas as they learn to check their egos and pull together to unleash the inner power of Spinjitzu.
Well, another movie from the Lego franchise. I enjoyed very much "The Lego Movie" and "The Lego Batman Movie" as well but this one is not as good as the first two but it's still fun, it has some good jokes and gags but not all of them stick, it has some good action scenes and a very nice story but, sadly, it's something I have seen before in other movie, with the estranged father and son but I liked how they choose to approach this story here.
Also, I don't know nothing about this Ninjago series but it reminded me very much of "Power Rangers" with the costumes, secret identities, big giant robots and their code names and colors and they all are high school students. And you can see some "Kung Fu Panda" influence as well. Like I said, not as good as the first two but you can still have fun with it. 6/10
Next up, The Lego Movie: The Second Part.
